Puerto Vallarta, Jal. MX., December 22, 2015. I’m sitting at my
temporary office on the front veranda of our home in Puerto Vallarta watching
people, animals, birds, insects, nature or “what have you” unfold within my
viewpoint. It’s currently 79 degrees,
hazy sunshine, with hardly a breathe of air movement. I’m “forced” to
temporarily use this location vs my normal place at my desk in the guest
bedroom currently occupied by Dolores daughter, Christine, who is here visiting
through this month. Hmmm…now if I could
only convince Dolores…Nawww.
As Christine finishes up her one-woman Cabaret Show in
PV on New Year’s Eve, she’s been asked to go to Ajijic, just outside of
Guadalajara, MX for a one night performance.
They’ve already pre-sold 100 tickets for a theater that holds
approximately 400 persons. It’s been an
exciting time for her in PV this month, 8 shows to-date; 6 remaining. Marvelous reviews in the local press,
Facebook, and Trip Advisor. From Ajijic,
she’ll return to Seattle for Teatro ZinZanni’s, 2016 season.
Dolores and I are preparing for her third Essence of
Cuisine Cooking School class this on Sunday the 27th. There are a couple of seats left for this
month’s final class. The menu:
·
Chips with homemade tomatillo sauce
·
Creamy pumpkin pasta with chorizo
·
Dry-rubbed flank steak with grilled corn
salsa
·
Mexican green rice
·
Refried beans
·
Tapioca banana and coconut pudding
This
includes welcome cocktails and wine throughout the dinner. Contact Dolores at y_brittingham@hotmail.com
or 322-222-7017 if you’d like to be included,
Sounds like great fun! Not sure Sylvia and I will make it south this year (again). I had pneumonia last month and still digging out from that...
