As the expats return back to the USA and Canada, many to finalize taxes and reestablish “resident” status for Medicare (Canadians) the town is slowly returning to the peaceful and quite pace that we all relish with another frenetic spike of activity over the upcoming two weeks of Semana Santa and Pascua (Holy Week - Palm Sunday to Easter Saturday) and Pascua (Resurrection Sunday until the following Saturday) which will start this year in the 4th week of April. Dolores and I anticipate that the cooking school will slow down to 2-3 per month through May and then the season should be completed with only the possibility of some year-round locals requesting a class or two.
My sister and brother-in-law will be visiting at that time from Sicily, It., returning to re-visit PV and environs for the first time since their decision to move to Sicily some three years ago. It’ll be a great time for “catch-up”, family remembrances, travel stories, and tall gin-tonics.

Thank you - We Washingtonians who are awake this morning, are sipping hot chocolate because it's a cold 33 degree morning, DAD!!! haha - at least the sun is starting to peak out this morning and hopefully for the next 3 days..so utterly cold up here. But I'm sure it's been very odd down there, too. I think from reading this, I have an idea of what to get you two for Christmas this year.....A DIFFERENT BLANKET! (or one with clips to pin it to the bed....)
ReplyDeleteI'm so envious that Uncle Charlie and Aunt Shirley will be there soon! Gosh, I wish I could get away from here for just a few days.. haha
Love you 2,
Paula
