Grumbling...

This past weekend, March 6^th, 7^th and 8^th 2015, I attended the 9^th International Writers Conference held at the Los Mangos Library, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.  The theme of this gathering was “Leaving Our Mark…Awakening More than Memoir.”

Unfortunately, from my perspective, the major presentations totally missed the mark of their subject matter and I wasn´t able to add significantly to my knowledge in writing a memoir.  However, as is always the case, the networking amongst the attendees, with the presenters, and with the organizer’s is always worth the price of admission.  What I gleaned from the short time I spent with the keynote speaker Caleb Pirtle, a journalist, author of more than 65 books, and several screenplays for TV movies, more than paid me for my investment of time.  Who knows, by the next years conference I´ll have it all completed...mas o menos
