Grumbling...

This past weekend, March 6th, 7th and 8th 2015, I attended the 9th International Writers Conference held at the Los Mangos Library, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.  The theme of this gathering was “Leaving Our Mark…Awakening More than Memoir.”
Unfortunately, from my perspective, the major presentations totally missed the mark of their subject matter and I wasn´t able to add significantly to my knowledge in writing a memoir.  However, as is always the case, the networking amongst the attendees, with the presenters, and with the organizer’s is always worth the price of admission.  What I gleaned from the short time I spent with the keynote speaker Caleb Pirtle, a journalist, author of more than 65 books, and several screenplays for TV movies, more than paid me for my investment of time.  Who knows, by the next years conference I´ll have it all completed...mas o menos

  1. Roberto: Perhaps next year I will be in PV for that conference. I would like to be... My second novel will be published in a few weeks - plus, I have a memoir in the works called "The Accidental Journalist..." Good blog, as always, thanks,
