Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, MX, March 24, 2014...
Yesterday’s (Friday) Essence of Cuisine Class was scheduled for 8 persons. Then a couple of days ago one of the couples asked if they could add another student - new total of 9 students. Thursday, before Friday, 4 of the previously scheduled students decided the group was too big and asked if they could reschedule later – this coming Monday. Agreeing I set the table for 6, 5 students plus Dolores joining them. Eight students arrived and we still have the class scheduled for Monday of 4. How’s that for a new math problem? Go figure. Today it’s time to get ready for Mondays class. Last evenings class was relative quite except for an occasional outburst of laughter and the couple of times when two of the students burst into song over a comment and the others were encouraged to follow-along. I cleaned up last night’s dishes, and reset the table this morning, performing in “stealth mode” so not to disturb any of the other renter/lessee’s below us with undue noise during a late after class cleanup. We´re holding to just the rescheduled 4 students and only setting the table for 5 (see above).
Tuesday Dolores´s daughter Nicole and partner Heather well arrive for a minimum two week stay. Heather´s very heavy work load as a Software Architect has prevented them from coming earlier and is minimizing the chance of a longer visit. They are bringing down many articles that Dolores and I have purchased over the internet – items that are hard to find in Puerto Vallarta. Xmas in March! Current temperatures in PV are averaging approximately 40 degrees warmer than Seattle, WA., their place of departure. Swimming pool is warming up as verified by some of the in-resident renters who are spending several hours daily in the water from mid-morning to early evening. Sounds like next months “tax day” will be good for my first attempt at dipping my toes. Our local niño´s can hardly wait to join us.
