When Dolores called to them they all rushed home, took quick showers and rushed to our condo. Typically, Dolores plies them with hotdogs, chips, and refreschas, ranging up to 3, at their choice. After the movie and clean-up they’ll occupy our guest bedroom, lounging across the two beds and watch TV and talk, talk, talk… Morning will see them having breakfast, then more TV, finally exiting into the sunlight
around 11 AM
This is a holiday week in Mexico starting last Friday, 4/30, with Children’s Day, then Labor Day (May Day), Day of the Holy Cross-Day of the Masons, ending with May 5th Cinco de Mayo (having more meaning in this house as Dolores’s Birthday). As a result the kids, after having a day of fun in school on Children’s Day are having the first three days of this week out of school.
We closed Monday evening with the last class of the season for Dolores’s Essence of Cuisine cooking school (www.essenceofcuisine.com) and probably won’t restart until December, since I’ll still be working on getting limbered up from the knee replacements (both) this summer in Seattle. However, we had a great season and it feels good to lay back and relax. Tomorrow starts the remodeling of our guest bathroom - long planned.
Very nice... a nice thing to do for these kids... And pass along birthday wishes, by the way...
